I installed astaro, setting the ip to 192.168.1.100, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and gateway to 192.168.1.1. I can't ping out of astaro and I cannot access the webadmin page. I run ifconfig on the astaro box and I do get a addr of 192.168.1.100, but the broadcast address is 192.168.1.255...I'm not sure what's going on or what it is I'm doing wrong. I set up my win7 as the PDF instructions said 192.168.1.2, 255.255.255.0, and 192.168.1.1. Confused.[:S]
By setting the IP for WebAdmin, you've set the IP address of the LAN interface to the same, 192.168.1.100. This is what you should be using for the gateway address, or leave gateway address blank during Astaro install. If you need 192.168.1.1 to be the gateway address, then this is what you need to enter for the WebAdmin address during install. 192.168.1.255 would be the correct broadcast address for the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet.
