Wireless Implementation

I'm trying to implement a wireless solution with the Business Essentials license. I have Cisco wireless routers setup on a seperate subnet than what the internal LAN is. I cannot get any traffic to go past the firewall to access the internet. I've got a masquerading rule setup for the wireless subnet to go to the external interface just like the internal network but it doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

Are the devices on the wireless network setup with the Cisco wireless routers as their default gateways and then the routers send the traffic to the astaro?

Since the subnet of the wireless network is a different network than the LAN, you will need to create some static routes on the astaro. You will also need to create packet filter rules to allow the traffic if you haven't done so already.

Yes they are setup with default gateways and then the routers send traffic to the Astaro.

Do I setup my static route from the Wireless Gateway to the External WAN interface?

It sounds like the Astaro does not have a route for the wireless network, so you need to create a static route on the astaro to send traffic for the wireless network to the Cisco router.

If that doesn't resolve the issue it might help to see a diagram of your setup, in case it is not laid out how I'm imagining it.

I'm assuming something like this:

ASTARO WIRELESS ROUTER (DG ASTARO) WIRELESS NETWORK (DG WIRELESS ROUTER)

Would this be an easier setup if I install a 3rd NIC in the firewall and use that as a DMZ to isolate the traffic from the internal network? Then I would just have to setup up a masquerading NAT from the DMZ to the External interface for the internet traffic to go out?

Yes, it would probably be easier to configure a 3rd NIC and create a DMZ and may be the preferred option in your case.
