why doesn´t asg support multiple nic in vmware

Hi,

i tried to install the Essential Edition with vmware player 3.1.1.

It seems not possible to use the vmware image with bridged nic´s on vmnet0 and vmnet1.

Not even vmnet8 is realy usefull for webadmin. The documentation doesn´t have any usefull information. The support address isn´t usefull at all.

Is there anyone with a running config in vmware player who can post the vmx config file?

    I have the recent build and i have read the so called "readme". 
    But i only can connect vmnet8.
    With this i can only use the webadmin page.
    I added the other interface in the webadmin page but it won´t work.
    If i configure vmnet0 vmnet1 and vmnet8 within the vmx file i can´t connect any longer to the webadmin pages.

    I tried several configuration in vmx but nothing works.
    I used the root login and can only see eth0 an lo.
    I can´t see eth1 or eth2...

    Astaro claims that the users can mail support@astaro.com .
    They only tell me to get a support contract.

    best way to scare the customer ...

    In this case is would be better to configure the needed (virtual) network adapters in the vmx file of your virtual machine and then just install the software version of the ASG. Changing or adding network adapters for a running ASG can be a little bit tricky and might involve editing of configuration files as root in the console of the ASG.
