Howto impelement this ?

I want to configure Essential firewall edition so as to ensure that my bandwidth utlization doesnt go beyond 5Mpbs since after that utlization is at higher cost.

If i put in interface and routing, Qos, Edit external NIC, define downlink kbit/sec and uplink kbit/sec as 5120 as well as select Limit uplink and automatic qos, download equalizer , upload optimizer then will outgoing and incoming traffic get limited to 5 Mbps ?

Yes. We do this on testbed setups to simulate low bandwidth connections by throttling throughput.

And I do it on production systems to keep from paying for excess bandwidth at our co-lo. It works fine.

Only automatic QoS is included with the Essential firewall, full QoS functionality requires a Network Security subscription.

Joomlaisthewayoflife, welcome to the User BB! I'm sorry that the answer to your first question here is that you can't limit bandwidth with the free-for-businesses license alone, a business must buy a Network Security subscription.
