Hi Folks,

This is my first time to use ver 8 software appliance.
Currently I'm downloading the iso image from this link Index of /ASG/v8/software_appliance/iso
I prepared already a P4 machine w/ 1 GB memory with 2 NIC cards.

My question is do I need to buy a license if Im going to install the software I downloaded?
How many users/ip address are in place if Im going to use this kind setup?
Do I get full features?

Any suggestions or recommendation are welcome.

    Hi,
    this forum is only really useful if you are using the "essentials" version.

    As a home user you get most functionality for free. You can't personalise the ASG. 1gb is nice 2gb is better. P4 generates a lot of heat.

    Maximum IPs is 50 with full functionality. For support you ask your questions in these forums and of course read the FAQs and the manual that is included in the ASG installation.
