Using Astaro as ADSL modem

Hi eclipse79,
the ASG does not support the modem function. The simplest way is to use a modem in bridge mode.

The ASG will handle the PPPoE and PPPoA functions.

As a home user you are eligible for a home user licence which has a lot more functionality than the essentials version. You can build your home unit on an old PC with 2 LAN (NIC) cards.

Not possible, as you would need an ADSL card inside the computer. Which would require drivers, and I don't see a huge need for it.

DSL modem in bridge mode, with Astaro doing the authentication just like a normal router.
