[ANSWERED] Firmware update

Hi all,

I have got only enclosed screen. Without the possibility to connect to the previous configuration. Does any one know how can I connect into previos configuration? 

I think it is definitely not a good idea to run the firmware update ....

Hey Alda.

I think you can rollback to previous version by rebooting the appliance, and during the boot loader, you can press  and then choose the firmware version you want.

It worked for me.

you are right it works but I still only get the Device Management page with Activate Appliance or Basic  Setup, nothing else. 

Original command ( opcode lic_dummy -ds nosync ) requires an appliance  restart but again with the same result.

How did you get your original configuration?

This is what I did:

-Reboot the appliance, choosing the previous firmware;
-Access Copernicus shell (in previous firmware version) and ran "opcode lic_dummy -ds nosync". The result that I got was: "200 OK
Licenseing Applied. Please Reboot to have an effect";
-I didn't reboot the appliance, just access the Web interface. Then I was able to enter in the configuration interface again.

After you ran the opcode command and reboot the appliance, did you remember to choose the previous firmware version again?

As I saw, the opcode command is not working in the new firmware version. Lets wait for new instructions from Copernicus dev team.

I did this commands too but the problem was in the web browser cache.

In the latest FW version, the opcode lic_dummy has been removed, so you have to register it with a serial number/license.
Simple register for the beta and you'll get a license.

It seems very much changed from Astaro times. However, unfortunately only for the worse, it seems to me now.

As a part of the beta testing there was a very good habit, automatically provide beta license but really it seems that times have changed ....


I think that an other beta participants appreciated continue to maintain this habit now and in the future too. I do not know how an other beta testers, but I can say that I see this PDF file for the first time today and it was already released July 21 ....

Could you please give me an advise how should I ask for a serial number/demo license when the contact e-mail does not exist?!?
