Does anyone tried to install the VM on the local Hyper-V Instance of an Windows 8.1 ?. I could install VM but not import it. But network is not working. It look like i can see the interfaces but that's it. Nothing more. Not ping no https. Installed an windows client on this Hyper-V on the Same switch no connection. Can anyone help me?
So you can't import it because SOPHOS has only supplied the VHD files. So follow the following:
1. Run the new virtual machine wizard.
2. Fill out your settings, stopping at the "Configure networking" screen, Add the vSwitch you want to manage the device on.
3. Under "Connect a Virtual Hard Disk" choose to "use an existing hard disk" and select the "PRIMARY-DISK.vhd".
4. Select to Install an "Operating System later".
5. Click "Finish".
6. Before starting the VM, Open the Virtual Machine Settings. Click on "IDE Controller 0" Select "Hard Drive" and Click "Add".
7. Click "Browse" and select "AUXILIARY-DISK.vhd", click apply.
8. Click "Add Hardware" and add an additional interface, attach it to the Vswitch you desire.
9. Save your settings and start the VM. password is "admin" when prompted.
This is high level and assumes Hyper-V knowlege but I hope it helps. Send me any questions if you have them. I've been running Copernicus for a few days now so I'm practically a professional :-D
