HI,
Just installed Copernicus following on from the webinar today.
Couple of things from first observations if that is OK, I am a partner selling UTM for the past three years.
I am sure the features are here somewhere but would appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.
1) I cannot find the change log, it was a really helpful feature on the UTM.
2) The backup list only includes the last backup and no option to restore without downloading it and then restoring. UTM gave you a nice long list of previous backups to chose from, especially helpful when configuring new interfaces rules etc. Might be nice for there to be a button on the home page or on the username drop down list as it is vital to be able to have no excuse not to take a backup.
3) I take it form the email configuration settings you are no longer going to be sending messages from the UTM without configuring a mail server using the do-not-reply@fw-notify.net address system.
4) On the HTTPS scan there is only a decrypt and scan option unlike UTM 9 where you introduced the option to scan the URLs obviously this saved a lot of work in deploying certificates to clients etc. Many sites have learnt about web filters and are moving their home pages to HTTPS etc.
5) The drop down boxes are quite small when trying to select multiple protocols, again I guess I will get used to it but found the drag and drop much easier.
6) You had a really good feature on the UTM; the ability to clone a rule. This helped in configuring, saving time and also probably assisted in reducing mistakes as you could set a good rule then clone it for specific purposes.
7) The home page appears rather cramped and the focus on this seems more about reports and less about getting the job done.
There are some good features too especially the web filtering reports including the time, this has been a big issue for me in the past. My initial review is not all negative but I find the above would greatly enhance the experience and hope that I have just missed them in my initial poking around. I look forward to having more time to look at it tomorrow.
Thanks again for inviting me to look over your Alpha release I really value the opportunity to input my feedback.
