[ANSWERED] Access Points compatibility

Hello Everybody.

I was in the Alan's presentation yesterday, and I realy got impressed about the new Sophos Firewall. So after the presentation I installed the SFOS so I have been performing many tests.

So far, everything is working fine. Now I'm trying to set up Access point. I activated the WiFi network, I also authorized the connection by the AP interface to connect to the UTM, but I'm getting a error in the log saying that the model of the connected Access Point is unknow.

I already tried with two AP models (AP30 and AP100) in both cases I got the same error.

Is there a list of compatible AP devices?

I have a somewhat similar problem with an AP 10.  It recognized it as an AP and upgraded the firmware and then nothing.  Does not show in AP list at all.

2015-07-09 15:22:44  AP Firmware    SUCCESSFUL  - AP firmware upgraded from 1.0.001 to 2.0.001.  18027

Edit.  Found the setting for wireless protection under system services and it is working now.

Just to update this case, I did a re-flash in my access points, so I connect it again in the SFOS, and now it is working fine.

I am having a similar issue with an AP50.

The SYSTEM log is showing:

2015-07-13 16:12:19 - Wireless Protection - - [Unknown] unknown AP model encountered: AP50, dropping. 17999

I FLASH'd the AP50, but am still getting the same message.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem with APs which were working fine at a Sophos UTM:

HI,

Can you please check if firmware version for AP is downloaded in box by UP2Date Service. You are able to view the AP version from CLI command .

console> system diagnostics show version-info

2. Please make sure that you have enable wireless service from system --> system services --> wireless

3. Zone is added on which AP is connected under Allowed Zone

after a pattern update request at "System --> Maintenance --> Updates" the Access Points did show up.
