Just install the two disks in a newly created HyperV machine on the IDE controller and everything works fine.

Hello again.
I'm performing several tests in Copernicus, and I just got a little bit confused.
Is there a way to authenticate user in SSO mode without Auth Client or Web Portal Authentication? I did not found this option.

You can use STAS to achieve SSO without any Auth Client or Web Portal.

STAS is transparent authentication suite that needs to be installed on DC to check security audit logs and send the info about login details (username/ip) to appliance. You could find the installation under Objects/Assets /Authentication Clients. Then you should study Cyberoam Knowledge Base
and check the console commands (using ? and tab) for proper syntax in sophos console. To get to console go under web admin GUI on admin link in right top corner and use Console...login and select 4 for Device console.

Thank you for the tip.

Actually I configured STAS, but in this case the authentication is not 100% transparent, since I have to install a suite in my AD.

BTW, so far, the authentication using STAS is working pretty well.

Hi Cassiano,

yes, the stas agent does need to be installed, but what I really like about it, is that it completely avoids problems with transparent mode auth on https sites.

and it seems very reliable from my testing. clients appear in the firewall within seconds of authenticating to their workstation

Hi Alan.

I totally agree with you regarding functionalities running STAS. But we used to mention the ability of the UTM to authenticate users without any agent, as one great differential of the product. Now we gonna have to bring up some new differentials. Anyway, I think it is not gonna be a problem because I have been seen many nice things in Copernicus.
