temp disabling SSID

Hey guys,

I am searching for a way to temporarily disabling one of my SSIDs in the ASG, but I did not found a signal light button or something like that ... you can disable the wlanX interface, but that does not affect the sending of beacons and signals. you will still find that wlan being published.

the only way I found is by deleting the SSID, but that is a very rough alternative i think.

    Hi,
    there is no "simple" (as in low-impact) way of deactivating a wireless network. The state machine on the APs is very simple, once in running condition the AP can not receive information from the ASG (only status information is exchanged) and a configuration change requires a reboot of the connected APs.
    Therefore, disabling the interface on the ASG is the only way of "null-routing" and temporarily deactivating a wireless network, which (as you already noted) does not stop the broadcasting of the network - it just won't process any network traffic.

    Okay ... I thought about additional security by enabling the Guest WLAN only on demand, but I understand that's hard to realize on this background.
