access point configuration if no dhcp server present

hello,

what does the access point do if he cannot get an ip address from a dhcp server in the network?

maybe it would be great to configure access points with static ip addresses at webadmin?

Once the AP got an address via DHCP it tries to establish a connection with the "magic ip" 1.2.3.4. [1] might have a few good hints for you.
