Roaming with Cisco Voip Mobile

Hi,

i have a problem with my cisco 7920/7921 VoIP Mobile phone.

When i'm connected to one accespoint and have a call everything is fine.
But if i move to the area of another accespoint the call gets first verry bad and then
the connection drops. Only if i walk extremly slow and wait in about the middle of the two accespoints a few minutes it switches over to the next accesspoint. 

I have on my way about 4 accesspoints to cross, therefor i have to wait a lot of minutes in one call [:)]

Anyone any idea how to fix that?

    Hi,

    the problem happens only if i get out of "reach". We have in our basement only "stahlbeton" so i need a lot of accesspoints for a good coverage. In the middle of two accesspoints i can see both with about 20-50% If i move more in one direction i get pattern noise. From this point on it could take about 2 - 4 Minutes till i get an handover to the next accesspoint. 
    From this point on i have no more pattern noise till i get to the end of reach of this accesspoint and the next handover shoud appear.

    Thanks Robert.

    The decision when to roam (=associate to a new AP) is solely done by the client. The APs only provide the necessary infrastructure. It seems to me as if your client (your VoIP phone) does not see the necessity to roam to a different AP at that point. Not sure why that happens, maybe because the signal strength of both APs is comparable.

    But nonetheless during the roaming process the connection should only be disrupted for a very short amount of time (
