Guest Network with separate DHCP

Hi,

every SSID can be configured to be a separate Interface on the ASG. This Interface could be equipd with a DHCP Server from the ASG. At the moment it isnt possible to bridge such a interface to another, you have to route the traffic somehow. 

As such u can only use "dhcp relay" to get the ip adresses from your Windows server, but i think you should use the ASG DHCP Server.

Hi, 

you can. If you connect your accesspoints to the internal nic or a nic connected to a VLAN, you can set the clienttraffic to "Bridge to AP LAN". See screenshot.
So you can use the internal DHCP server.

Yes, but he was asking for a Guest WLAN, and a guest WLAN ist mostly not for the internal network, right?

Setup dhcp relay weithin astaro, to your dhcp Server.

Add a New dhcp Range to your Windows dhcp, make shure the old and the New Range are grouped together.

But isn't it a bit oversized to have a DHCP Relay within my normal network just for a guest network? I think Astaro will do that job much more easyer?

The WLAN has a separate IP range, right?

Then it's not a problem to use Astaros DHCP for the WLAN interface only. Thought there is no separate interface because i don't see any network objects for it (As described in this post: https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/107/t/69953 )
