error message "one of the values you entered is syntactically or logically incorrect"

Hi,

When enabling the "Wireless Security", I received the message "Error creating Wireless Network : alert ("One of the values you entered is syntactically or logically incorrect")

I just did a drag&drop from the left panel ("Interfaces").

I removed it, disabled the Wireless Security, and re-enabled it. Now the wizard check box is not shown.

I'll do some more tests, but I have create all configs without wizard.

    I applied the last (auto-)backup and did the same opération : no error this time.

    Hi,
    just to clarify: this was happening when you enabled Wireless Security for the first time, and you were trying to use the initial configuration setup?
    Can you please check your /tmp/confd-debug.log for any information regarding this? Unfortunately, there are no timestamps in this debug log. As a small help, the Network that should be created has the base ip 172.16.28.1, it should work to just search for this IP in the debug file to find the right place in the file.
    If there is no information in the logfile (it is wiped during reboot), can you please specify which network interfaces you had configured before enabling? A configuration backup would also work, please send it to agrosse@astaro.com (you can also use the gpg key below).

    - 2 config sent (from astaro web interface) to agrosse@astaro.com : last auto-backup and after the reported issue.

    - last 10000 lines sent by regular e-mail (same e-mail adress)

    Thanks for the log file!
    Just a quick question: the screenshot shows that there is already a Wireless Guest Network created at the time that the error occurred. Did you try to run the initial setup twice? If yes, what was the error the first time?
    And, just guessing ... did you maybe configure a wireless network before enabling wireless security?

    Yes, I tried to configure a Wireless Network before running the initial setup, then remove it.
    After that :
    - go to "global settings"
    - enable "Wireless Security" : got a yellow button
    - drag&drop, from left panel "Internal Network" (Interface network)
    - the drop is effective (line added into the righ panel, into the "Allowed Network box")
    - received the "information" message ("Error creating...")

    Maybe you need to add a message saying "please enable wireless security BEFORE adding a Wireless Network" when trying to do it this (wrong) way.
    The same way there is a warning message when trying to add a RED device before turning on the RED functionnality ("Please turn on RED Management functionality globally before adding devices")
