Problem with 2 AP's

Maybe manualy reflash the firmware? on my other AP (3360) this helped [:)]

On the switch (simple 8port switch) i see that the link led go's on, after 2 seconds it went off, and so on ... the AP doesn't send a DHCP Request (had a look at the logfile).

What does the AP power LED do? Is it constantly blinking, on or off?

Power LED and WLan LED is lighning consantly ... lan is blinking from time to time, but it doesn't try to get an ip adress ...

Hmm, that sounds a bit (not 100% sure yet) as if you're the first one who managed to crash the APs firmware in a non-recoverable way (only with physical access to the device).

Do you remember the AP doing a firmware update (fast blinking power led) just before the AP wasn't connecting anymore?

hmmm no, i didn't remeber that, i "configured" and updated 8 AP's an waitet that "signal" becuase i have some 3660 running and know that behaviour ... 

But i could try with some hint from astaro for shure to reflash the AP's maybe?

When the AP doesn't acquire an IP address via DHCP anymore it is most likely not booting up correctly. And if it doesn't boot up anymore it cannot flash itself with a new firmware anymore ...

Let's try to find out if the AP is really bricked or (hopefully) not. Could you run a tcpdump (or something similar) to see if the AP at least tries to acquire an address?

hmmm i put him in another lan with an linux server and DHCP aktivated, die doesn't even try to get an ip [:(]

and what i can say is that he aktivates his LAN interface and about 2 seconds later he deaktivates it again ... so it seems that he starts the bootload ( i asume its an RedBoot bootloader right) doesn't get an connect and starts over ...

For the others here, i sent the two described AP's back to Astaro for investigation what happend.
