How to find the Accespoint

Hi,

got my AP today, installed 7.506, tried to add AP without sucess... how does the AP find the Astaro? does it try to connect to the defaultgateway of the Network? My default Gateway is another Firewall ...

Any help? [:)]

The ASG must be somewhere in the internet upstream (it does not need to be the next hop).

In your case, you can set up the ASG as a bridge, using Any->Any->Any PF rule. This way you can put it between the "other firewall" and the rest of your network.

Hi tom, thanks for the reply, i found that i just have to set the default gateway for the AP to my "testfirewall" and it seems to work but as you can see on my other post, it seems that i can't work with VLANs....

Hi, another possibility is to create an reservation within our DHCP Server for die APs and enter die ASG as Default GW for these Reservation
