I just wanted to give status.  Awaiting arrival of The Wireless Thingy hardware.  Not necessarily a bad thing, since I upgraded to V8 last weekend and will need to reinstall 7.506 for the test.
 
For anyone else in this same boat, a little birdie has told me that 7.506 ISOs should be available on Astaro FTPs this Friday.  This will save a little bit of time for reinstall.

    Robert: You can always give it a shot, but traditionally newer backups on older versions haven't worked very well. Astaro has conversion scripts built in to convert some older backups to newer versions, but there are no scripts for back-porting.
     
    If you have the backups emailed to you on a regular schedule, but have deleted the older versions in your email client, you can always go to whatever your using for archiving on your mail server to retrieve an older backup set.  Worst case, you can go to file level backups.
