Strange Installer Problem with the ASC

Hi all,

i got a strange Problem with ASC (Vers. 8.12.24 and 8.11.126). On two PC´s the Installer simply hangs before asking for the language. The "setup.exe" is visible in the Taskmanager, but nothing happens. Both PC´s are from Gadget loving VIP´s, so they are "non standard" and there is plenty of Software installed. A "fresh" Setup from the Recovery CD´s is no Option...

...so i tried to install the ASC in the "Save Mode with Network" of Windows XP... and it worked... kind of... The ASC is fully functional and can open a VPN connection, but sometimes it uses 100% CPU even without a VPN (connected to Company LAN). So uninstalled and temporary configured a MS-L2TP VPN... 

I can not reproduce the Installer Problem on other PC´s and i can not clone the PC´s because they are "non standard" (one Sony, one Samsung... both uniquely in our Inventory). And of course i can not grab those PC´s for an extended Time. I do not want to mix different VPN methods, so i realy want to use the ASC, so...

...are there known incompatibilities of the Installer with other Programs? Is there an alternative Installer (Msi)? Any experiences with repackaging Tools? 
Any Ideas?
