Hmm I "think" the weblisteners automatic FW rule is processed before your own PF rules...

I havent tested this but is using some of the same concept because I needed port 443 for another purpose I moved the portal to 1443 and made at DNAT rule for it.
Now, when 443 is processed with DNAT I "think" you can interact with it on own PF rules..

Meaning if you NAT 443 to a own defined port, you will be able to create two allow rules for internal and vpn in the packet filter and then drop for the rest.

See attached screen for example DNAT config -the translated server "Astaro user por" you see in the screenshot is mapped to 1443.

What interface do your users use to access the portal?
If it is just the internal interface, specify that instead of "Any" on the advanced tab

Me ? its accessible from anywhere - need to, our consultants are not able to get on VPN from all customers and they do need to release mail etc from the portal, also they need to download the SSL vpn config from there - not easy from home if you can't access it.

@vels actually i was asking brk as he was the one with the question about how to configure the portal to not listen on external interface.

I let users (me) access the portal from internal or VPN.  Sounds like "Internal (Address)" would then work.

Confirmed that did it.  And also confirmed my production server acted the same way.
