[8.270][QUESTION][ANSWERED] MAX SSIDs

Hi,

there are still only 8 SSIDs possible. Why that?
There es no need to limit the max number of SSIDs, the limitation should only be done by Wlan Group.

This is planned but won't make it into 8.300.

Just a comment peripherally related to this topic. My understanding is that because of the overhead of SSID advertising and management traffic that by the time you get to around 12 SSIDs you can experience noticable traffic degradation through your WAP. 2.4 GHz is more impacted than 5 GHz and g is more impacted than n.

Correct Bob. The network performance starts to degrade with each SSID you add but this request is not about adding more SSIDs to the same AP but allowing to configure more then 8 SSIDs on the ASG while distributing them across all APs.
