I downloaded the ISO twice now, and keep getting stuck on this install error:

This happens right after it tries to install pm-utils ...

I would expect the RPM installation to fail in the RPMs post-inst script, but pm-utils doesn't have a post-inst script. Can you therefore please do the installation again, then at the end write the complete installation data onto a USB stick? The written install.zip then contains all the files we need. You can mail this ZIP to holger.eitzenberger@sophos.com.

I think I found the issue...

I have downloaded the ISO from ftp.astaro.de , and from download.astaro.com , and neither ISO get a match with the md5...

I will try again, but not holding up hope..

3rd download attemp, ftp2.astaro.de, using Firefox this time instead of IE, and md5 doesn't pass... what is going on here.. [:(]

doesn't seem to be a server side issue, the md5sum matched for me(using ftp://ftp.astaro.de/pub/ASG/v8/beta/asg-8.270-5.1.iso ).

I don't get it.

I have tried:

ftp.astaro.de
ftp2.astaro.de
download.astaro.com

Using all three tried using IE9, Firefox, even Filezilla.

None get an md5 match.. yet the download finishes. This is trustrating me.

After trying all day, and like a dozen downloads from different machines, even onto my existing ASG using wget.. still failed.

So I logged into my work via vpn, and used a server there to download it (different ISP than home)... and the md5 matched.

I split the ISO into 30 smaller files and copied to my house over vpn, and put it back together, and well... now I have a matching md5.

Something very fishy with my ISP it appears...

Off to install now [:)]
