[8.200][QUESTION][ANSWERED] Wireless security and IPV6

I might have misunderstood what was said in an earlier thread about IPv6 and wireless security.
My understanding was that the any device accessing the ASG over wireless security would not pickup an IPv6 address?

Why I ask, is that my MAC now running LION has picked up an IPv6 address while using the AP30.

Not sure. My iPad can get an address from DHCPv6.

The AP only acts as a L2 bridge and as such can run any protocol between the wifi clients and the ASG. Hence also IPv6.

The AP itself however still requires an IPv4 address to communicate with the ASG.

So, in short:
- WiFi clients can use IPv6
- The APs require IPv4
