[8.200][DUPE][CLOSED] Error Opening file /var/pattern/geoip/GeoIP.dat

I'm assuming that you're using country blocking.  What happens if you turn country blocking off?

sorry for double posting ... i search for the geoip error and don't find anything ...

i don't use contry blocking, but the mistirios thing is, that this is a new appliance with 8.102 as factory default firmware and i turned it on 2 hours ago and put in my virtual configuration and the partner license. after that the waf doesn't work and i see this errors in the waf log. so i think this can not be come from the firewall country blocking part.

in the error log is anything standing about the pattern directory, so my pattern is very old, after up2date i have:

old one:
Current pattern version: 21217
Latest available pattern version: 22530

after i click to ,,Update patterns now" in manual settings the ASG don't upgrade it. Its possible that there will be the problem itself.

after a longer time, the asg upgrade the patttern to 22530 and the WAF is working normaly again, i think this is the solution.

I just enabled WAF in 8.200 without issue.

OK, two things come to my mind here.

1)  In WebAdmin, go to licensing.  Is the status for Web Application Security enabled?  Do the other components in licensing look good as well?

If your licensing is fine, then

2)  Can you give me an idea of your settings for the virtual server and firewall profile so that I can replicate as closely as possible.

Good to hear the your all fixed up.  Just took time for the automatic update process to take place to get the newer patterns.
