[8.173][NOTABUG][CLOSED] Flow moniter is showing wronge http Bandwidth in incahrt/Tabular

Hi..

Please look attachments first. Flow monitor is showing wrong http Bandwidth in in chart/Tabular. You can see in attachment on dashboard asg is showing approx 450kbps, firefox is showing 69KB=500+kbps approx, a third party download meter is showing 500+kbps, but flow monitor is showing  119 KB/s it mean 119x8=900kbpa approx. Its a huge difference.

But look at second attachment that is FTP download, flow monitor is showing 100% correct bandwidth.

    I don't think that this is a bug.  

    You'll notice with the first screenshot that there are two sessions (clients) with HTTP traffic.  Whatever else was using HTTP probably accounts for the remaining 49.6 KB/sec.  

    Also, your not taking into account that while the FF download counter is displaying data in real-time using the Win API and WPF, WebAdmin can't do that.  The dashboard data can be over a minute old depending on the refresh interval set.  Same concept with the flow monitor, as it refreshes every five seconds.  You'll never see an exact correlation because by the time you see the data, it is not current any longer.

    If you absolutely need to see current bandwidth usage data in real-time, you can run IFTop from the shell.

    Hi Scott, i agree with you that real time bandwidth would be different on dashboard,in flow monitor, in firefox. Second thing there are two sessions (clients) showing first screenshot because one is client machine and second is wabadmin wan link. Because i was testing on single machine. So client can not be two.

    Now one sentence that why i said BUG  ""Wan link is 512 kbps, now tell how it can go up to 900kbps+""" It can go up to 550 kbps but its impossible to go up to 900+kbps. Second thing real time bandwidth can differ in different way, like dash board, firefox,flow monitor,third party download meter, But one thing that cant be, flow monitor cant not show 512kbps bandwidth  in to 900+kbps Bandwidth. It cant go up to 900kbps+. It is BUG.

    No it is not caching..!! 100% Bug..!! You can check in your Lab. It cant be caching, because it was fresh download..!! Impossible..!!

    You just opened the wrong Flow Monitor. There are to very different views: 'all' & 'interface'. If you only want to see traffic relevant to your WAN interface, you must click in the bandwidth-bars of the WAN interface in the dashboard. Clicking on 'all' shows all traffic, IN & OUT!
