[8.174][BUG][FIXED] How to get AAA client to encrypt password

Hi all, 

I have tried uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling the client but my password is still not encrypted.  Is there something I have to do to get it to work?

    As far as i can see from the code, there's no foreign-language-thing happening at all.

    Attached 1st screenshot of Win7 registry.  It's just displaying as asian characters for some reason then.  No biggie.

    So, if there's a brave soul out there to try this:
    uninstall the client
    manually remove that registry entry
    reinstall and retry

    My original test was on a brand new install of XP built just to test this, but I'll do it again.
    Uninstalled client
    Manually removed registry entry
    Fresh download of client and reinstall
    Password in Plain Text.  Attached 2nd screenshot of WinXp Registry.

    This is how I've done it. I 've uninstalled the client using REVO unistaller pro (ie removed the registry keys),reinstall it and the password was encrypted
      You did this on an XP system, correct?
