[8.171][NOTABUG][CLOSED] DNS, HTTP proxy, IPv6 (freenet6)

Hi,
I have raised the IPv6 issue in an earlier post, but didn't get any response.
Today, I built a new ASG from the 8.171 because I had to replace a faulty NIC. Before rebuilding I deleted the sixxs IPv6 tunnel broker and IPv6 details (DHCP, Broker id and password and disabled the tunnel broker).

After restoring the config on to the new build I configured the IPv6 using my freenet6 account. I have 3 internal interfaces, I configured each one to be IPv4 and IPv6. Everything configured, but IPv6 connectivity did not work everything timed out. IPv4 sites worked without a problem.
Removed the IPv6 functions from the 2 of the interfaces and bingo IPv6 works. Sites I tried are ipv6.google.com and www.astaro.org, both use I Pv6 addressing.

Next issue. DNS - DND does not work with FF4.0.1 in the DNS forwarders box. Works in other boxes.

HTTP proxy still does its thing with transparent and full transparent as per another thread I started.

The freenet6 IPv6 is a /56 which I subnetted to /64. I did further testing using the sixxs site because it tells me what my IP address is.

I know this sounds a little bit picky, but:

can you please stick to our rule of one problem per thread?
can you please link to the threads you mention in your post, so i don't have to guess, which one you are referring to?

Sorry to hear that you spent so much time in the rebuild. What problem do you want me to track in this thread now?

Hi kbr,
Sorry, I was trying to be economical with the thread generation.

I think the DNS forwarders DND not working is more important form most people so I suggest that one.

Unfortunately i cannot reproduce the DND issue here with my FF5 on Linux. Given the fact that FF4 is already outdated, can you please check with FF5 before i file a Mantis ID for this?

Will do as soon as I can figure out why mozilla is timing out again. I fixed the problem a short while ago (about 3 weeks), I had a config error.

Hi Kai,
it is a FF4.x issue.Downloaded FF5 to my work W7 64 PC and DND for the DNS field worked.

okay, then i'll have to close this as a non-issue. The web guys told me that they too don't like the new Mozilla versioning scheme, but if it's a Mozilla-bug, they won't fix it.
