[8.171][BUG][UNREPRODUCIBLE] scheduled firmware update not working

I twice today scheduled the 8.171 update to install only to have nothing happen.  first time was for 17:30 and I had set this before noon
the second time, after I noticed the first schedule didn't run was around 6pm and I set it for 18:45 and again, nothing even shows in the up2date log

"Version 8.171 (Medium urgency, requires reboot)
Installation is scheduled for 2011-06-22 at 18:45:00"

    I had the same issue. I had to manually initiate the upgrade from 8.165 to 8.170 and to 8.171. I tried scheduling each twice. The most recent time I scheduled it over 24 hours in the future in case there was some weird UTC/local time offset issue. I thought I had posted a "me too" in an old thread about this in the beta forum.

    I'm attaching my up2date logs from June 16 to June 23 which covers from when the ASG downloaded to 1.170 to when 1.171 was installed. The scheduled update times were all between 1am and 4am. I don't see any mention of the scheduling or any errors related to firmware updates. I only see the automated downloads and the installations I started manually, but I don't know what I"m looking for exactly.
