ASG V8.2 General Release

Hello,

Is there a timeline yet for general release of V8.2? I would have liked to have either ran the Beta on one of my servers or on a virtual machine, but my incompetence got in the way of my being able to click through the hyperlinks in the forum pages or successfully add them to my FTP client. I am running V8.103 on my production box. What will the migration options look like?

Hi ehcah,

if you want to download the latest beta ISO, simply go to Index of /ASG/v8/beta/ and grab the ASI 8.171 ISO from there.

There are plans to release 8.2 somewhen in early Q3, as the beta test license is valid until the end of July, this might be an indicator for the release date (see https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/110/t/70959).

Once the GA version is released, there will be most likely up2date packages that can bring you from the current latest 8.1 release to 8.2. See also https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/110/t/70158.
