[8.170][QUESTION][ANSWERED] Reputation limit

Hi All

whilist downloading files from rapidshare.com I've noticed that random rapidshare servers where blocked with "reputation limit" error

I therefore had to override if needed  

2011:06:19-00:12:50 ***** httpproxy[19141]: id="0063" severity="info" sys="SecureWeb" sub="http" name="Contentfilter override" url="rs26dt.rapidshare.com/.../*********.rar" srcip="192.168.2.3" user="wingman" category="130" reason="test"


My question is why some rapidshare servers have the reputation issue (ie. https://rs26dt.rapidshare.com) and some not (i.e https://rs26dt.rapidshare.com). 

I've neved had an issue with repidshare before. I am using Threshold : suspicious.

    The problem is that if a site like a branch of rapidshare was serving something marked as malware, pirate software, or other things, it will be flagged as such. As rapidshare doesnt have the most vigilant of file inspection (and in fact a lot of warez and pirate programs are hosted there).

    As a result, reputation filtering for sites like that will be spotty and inconsistent, depending again on what has been served from those nodes in recent times...
