[8.170][BUG][FIXED] Socks process keep restarting

the socks process keeps restarting

I've tried to disable/re enable the feature with no luck.

    I haven't restart the machine yet as hschaa is looking at a wireless issue that will be fixed if I restart the box. I need his ok and then I can do it.  Is there anything I can do to increase logging levels that coulod provide any help. Restarting the box won't find the root cause of the issue :$

    Hi,
    the original ASG was upgraded from a much earlier version of 8.2b to 8.165 and then to 8.170, did not show signs of a problem with socks restarting every hour. The current system was upgraded from a build using 8.165 ISO to 8.170 and is reporting a a socks restart every hour approximately. The box has been restarted a number of times, but not since the restore from the old ASG was applied.

    I will restart it now and see what happens over the next couple of hours.

    Hi,
    I restarted my system and I have not received any restart reports.

    Now, straining my memory, I remember logging this issue in the last beta and basically the conclusion was a restart is required after a backup restore or after an upgrade an extra restart. There was discussion about an automatic restart, but that was shot down in flames.
