[8.165][NOTABUG][CLOSED] AAA and IPv6

Hi all,

I can browse both IPv4 and IPv6 sites without issue if I am using Transparent proxy with no authentication.  If I switch on "Agent" authentication I cannot browse IPv6 sites, I get an authentication error (see image).

This is similar to umt_kid's thread but not the same, I think. https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/110/t/70391

I don't see anything in the Client Authentication log either.

    Hello Paul ,

    r u facing problem with all ipv6 site or only ipv6.google.com 

    can u please try some other sites before trying ipv6.google.com 

    try ipv6.cnn.com or Comcast's IPv6 Information Center 
     i am able to browse ipv6 site ,only problem with  ipv6.google.com 

    r u using local database ?

    paul , ipv6 use AAAA or AAA ?

    Every IPv6 site fails for me.  The ones you mentioned as well as aaaa.test-ipv6.com, Internet Society - World IPv6 Day, www.laurentian.ca, and several others I have found.

    It's hard to say but it looks like this was caused by me reinstalling 8.165 and restoring the config but not rebooting the clients.  After a reboot of one of the clients it started to work so I rebooted the others and they are working as well.  Strange!

    I guess this can close.  Sorry for the alarm.

    I've noticed that if I reboot my Astaro, when using Agent based authentication, site access fails as well.  For me, I found that just right clicking on the Agent tray icon, choosing set credentials, and then clicking ok fixes this.  The login and password information do not need to be modified.  Give this a shot instead of a full reboot of the client and see if it helps.

    I'm not so sure it isn't a bug.... I tried your trick and it still fails.  I did a reboot and it still isn't work on one of my computers.  I can use a different computer and it is fine, for now, it to had issues this morning.  I can't put my finger on it but there is something strange here.  This only relates to IPv6 sites not IPv4 sites, I've never had an issue with IPv4 sites.

    P.S. I see you guys are publishing a IPv6 site address now... cool!  Is that for World IPv6 Day?

    This is still giving me trouble.  Is there a logging option for the client as I can't seem to find anything helpful in the logs? [:(]

    I tried entering my credentials again and it doesn't help...  exit the AAA and start it again doesn't help.  This only affects IPv6 sites, including astaro.org.

    Anyone? [:S]

    I'm experiencing this as well but my setup is a little different. Let me know if this needs a new thread.

    I'm using OSX at the moment so I have a proxy profile setup for non-windows based machines to just use the transparent proxy.  

    IPV4 sites work just fine but IPV6 give me an authentication error message.

    The logs show it as passing though.
