[8.165][NOTABUG][CLOSED] CPU into high occupancy

Hi,
the network load on the ASG is minimal, but while reveiwing the dashboard suddnely the CPU load went over 80% for about 5 minutes, normally sits around 3%.

Extract from tools is posted below showing the main process load.
My ASG has been operational for about 12 hours since 8.165 was installed.

Would appear to be network load related. The network suddenly became busy, the CPU load dropped, the network peak load dropped, the CPU load increased to over 80% again. Network load with high CPU is around 90kb/s the peak was around 1mb/s.

If you are viewing flow monitor, confd.plx will use some extra cpu cycles and might show up as higher cpu usage depending on your cpu.

Hi Billybob,
I wasn't using flow monitor at the time. I watched this happen over a number of minutes as the network load increased the CPU load decreased.
I am reviewing this remotely.

Now link utilisation is high and CPU is running about 50-60%. Wonder if it is more to do with webadmin. I will give the ASG a restart later and see what happens.
Didn't behave like this under 8.164.

Just close the webadmin for a few hours and then look at the reporting graphs to see whether the problem is "real" or just because your box feels ashamed when you are looking at it, doing nothing [;)]

It is feeling lost and lonely having just given birth to 8.165, it feels I should be a lot closer than a 1000km away at this time of stress.[:$][:P]

I hope he is enjoying his long weekend, resting and relaxing.

A restart of the ASG appears to have fixed this issue and dropped the CPU occupancy even further.

In fact it turns out I am wrong. reviewing the graph below in detail shows the CPU occupancy dropped at the midnight rollover procesess were run.
