[8.165][BUG][ANSWERED] Question: Is 8.165 the final beta release

Hi, just wondering if 8.165 is the final beta release before the GA or is there going to be another release.

    There will be a few more releases before GA.

    We hope to have the next release (8.170) in the shape to call it a release candidate (rc), and from there on we will be squashing bugs at a high rate [;)]

    I believe with the long 8.164 release, other than the obvious bugs (kernel panic, broken reporting), most of the stuff was stable. Unless there is some regression[:$], we should be good to go for a rc. Hoping that would be next week [[;)]]

    Well, we already have a long list of things to fix for 8.164, and especially the reporting does need a final effort - the accounting related stuff from ApplicationControl isn't in the executive report (or at least the reporting guy told me that there's something wrong with it). No real show-stoppers, but a lot of little things.

    Given that we have a holiday on thursday this week, many of us take a short vacation this week, so next week isn't a realistic date for 8.170. But we definitely will not delay it for four weeks again, this is clear.
