[8.164][INFO][NONE] reporting broken

Hi everyone,

just a short note to let you know that reporting is currently broken, and that we are tracking this with Mantis ID 17738. We're working on this with high priority because we know that it's very inconvenient for many of you, and we even know the cause of this problem. It's basically a signaling problem between the Configuration-Daemon and the processes that aggregate the reporting data, which leads to all kinds of problems.

Because of the nature of this problem and the way it introduces all kinds of strange results, it doesn't make any sense to look for other symptoms of this issue any more.

Hi kbr,
what are the chances of an early release of the next beta ( with a reporting fix) so we can get on with identifying the real bugs with the rest of this release, rather than what we are seeing in the forum at the moment?

Hi Ian,

to be honest, i don't see a chance for an early release. There are some company-wide events in the next 2-3 weeks, things left over from the office-move and other things unrelated to the beta, that will probably lead to a slowdown in the "bugfixing rate". Nothing big, but it each little interruption adds to this "delay". But please be aware that this is my very personal and very subjective view on the things - and i'm known among my colleagues for being pessimistic.
