Hyper-v support

Hi,

After a long wait, I understand that ASG is now going to be supported in Hyper-v.

Is this support going to include the full support of the integration services in the same way that VMware tools are integrated?  Will it support dynamic memory?

Also is it going to be available as a preconfigured virtual appliance, or will we have to use the standard iso??

    Yes, integration services and default native hyper-v nics will be supported.  Current product versions of Astaro can be finagled to work with hyper-v, but integration services must be disabled and you must use the legacy nic option.  Dynamic memory is a function of the host OS (win server 2008 R2 SP1), not the guest OS.

    Considering that nobody outside of Microsoft releases preconfigured virtual machines in Hyper-v VHD format, it's doubtful that Astaro will do so.  You will most likely have to install from ISO, but since the install process just takes a few minutes, it's not a big deal.  This won't change until hyper-v gets a significantly higher adoption rate within businesses to make it worthwhile for vendors (like Astaro) to spend more money and resources on it.
