If you have a static IPv4 address, you can archive HE support by activating 6to4 and entering your HE Access Point IP address under Advanced Server.

There is currently no support for HE over dynamic IPv4 address.

Using sixxs out of London I get > 300ms lag.

I have just moved to freenet6 using a Sydney (Australia ) pop. A very noticeable performance improvement and I get to pickup AU instead of UK sites when using IPv6.google.com. Easter break was good, I was able to investigate more about IPv6, though I still have some questions on how ASG will handle ULAs, but before I post a thread on that subject I need to write my thoughts out in detail?

The big problem that I see with freenet6 is that the subnet provided is dynamic and changes over time, which means that you may need to update this information manually in other areas of webadmin when this happens (such as DHCP if you use this to assign addresses from this subnet to internal clients).

as far as I can determine if I lock my freenet6 connection to the Sydney server I should keep the same /56 allocation.

Then there is the next question, do I keep the /56 when tunnels are no longer required?

Maybe it is time to bite the bullet and pay for a /56 and be tunnel provider free.

I take it that your ISP will provide a PA (Provider Assigned) block for a fee?  Might be different in Australia with APNIC, but in North America, ARIN has made the requirements to purchase a PI (Provider Independent) block quite stringent, so that only the most massive of business entities meet the requirements.

thank you for the update. I think they are being a bit paranoid, but that is their toy.

I can purchase a /64 from a Australian company which provides tunnels and hosting. My ISP in not into issuing IPv6 addresses yet.

If you are a small business on an ADSL service managing access is going to be quite difficult in my opinion.

I agree, but I see the difficulty being more widespread.  The small to medium businesses that use DSL, Cable, or lower-tier T fiber connections are going to be the last ones to get native IPv6.  I think that you'll need a DS3 or greater to be one of the "cool kids" with access to native IPv6 sooner.
