Anyway, can you please provide some more information, maybe two pcaps or the two files download with wget/curl, one with the content send by the server and one with the rewritten content that went through the WAS?
I understand @maygyver's point, and it is valid if you want only to modify the internal links.
I rather like the current feature, and on the contrary would be inclined to optimize the code rewriting to the whole page. It seems to limit itself currently at the . I think it should be an option/feature rather than a bug ! Could we rather have an option checkbox to leave the current compression and have it disabled by default for @maygyver
right now we have more urgent problems with the HTML parser engine (see your other threads). I would like to defer this feature until we fixed the other issues.
