[8.163][NOTABUG][CLOSED] Automatic Logout

Hi All

I am having a strange issue where I have set the "WebAdmin idle timeout" to 60 sec but have not Checked the relevant box. However, I am seeing that my session is being logged out after a while with no reason. I have tried the following

Generate the Executive report and whilst viewing it ,my session is getting logged off.The relevant message I am seeing is

It seems that the time out setting is taking effect even if not checked.

Hi Wingman,
From what I understand, the 60 second setting would take effect for every window other than the dashboard. If you check the box, you would be logged out even when viewing the dashboard. Previously, while viewing the dashboard, the session wouldn't expire and you would stay logged in regardless of the timeout settings.

So if you are viewing executive report, you are technically not looking at the dashboard. Unless I missed something in your post.

However, the relevant tick box is not checked so why my session is being logged out?

sorry guys but I still can understand it. What is causing my webadmin to logout every approximately 60 seconds whilst I am viewing the executive report? I don't have the relevant option "WebAdmin idle timeout" checked which I understand it's only when you are actually viewing the dashboard) I didn't have that problem whilst on version 8.162

Wingman,
First, I think you have already won this beta, if not you have my vote since the bugs that you have found can't be found be a techie. All of us eventually spot a bug when we try to do something that doesn't work but all the cosmetic mistakes and the eye for detail takes more than just a casual user and I congratulate you on that.

Now, you are confusing yourself with this bug. The timeout is opposite to the way you are understanding it. You will be logged out of every screen including the dashboard when the option is checked.

Screenshot 1: Dashboard (this screen kept a webadmin session active before no matter what the timeout setttings were)
Screenshot2: You viewing executive report is not the same as screenshot1 which is why you are getting logged out[;)]
