[8.163][BUG][CLOSED] PPPoE not recording address changes

Hi,
since the upgrade to 8.163 this morning my time the IP address allocated to my ASG has changed twice. I have seen the address changes shown on the dashboard in the interface display.There are not any entries in the PPPOE log file to show this.

I have found these entries in another log file.

I will restart the ASG tomorrow morning when the usage is low.

    Hi kbr,
    the file is system loag file.

    Some extra lines from the midnight cleanup.

    Also, a number of changes of IP address again, but nothing in hte log. About to restart the ASG.

    Hi Ian, I did a fresh ISO install and I have the IP addresses in my logs. Something is weird with this beta, things are breaking for no reason for certain users and everyone else is not affected[;)]

    Hi Billybob,
    If I do a restart the info appears in the log, but if the something causes the connection to fail, nothing appears in the log.

    This is wierd, it is almost as if the ASG has decided to drop the connection, without doing anything other than get a new address from the ISP.

    I haven checked to see if DYDNS has been updated, but I haven't received an advice that the external IP address has changed, which started happening after the notification smtp relay entry was fixed by hand. HMMMMMMM, suspicious!

    Anyway, in another log file I am seeing up2date showing as rebooted the system a number of times today.

    I have also noticed, but not been able to identify what the cause is that my itunes streaming audio keeps changing streams. This has been going on since I started this beta.

    I am a bit confused as to what I am looking for at the moment.

    Hi,
    I am not sure whether this is an actual fault or just a warning. The logfile entries have changed since the up2date installation  this morning.

    mlenk is currently hunting this down. It seems to be a problem related to the update of the antivirus code and antivirus pattern stuff. Please keep the system running so that he can take a look at this next week (he's on a sick leave today).

    We're not quite sure where this started, but in the other case we found corrupted files (av engine / av pattern) on the ASG.

    No problem, i think these are related anyway. I cannot reproduce the reconnect issue with a clean install so it looks like an upgrade related problem, just as Bill suggested.
