Reconfigured the notification (Management -> Notifications -> Advanced -> External SMTP Server) to have notifications sent to my internal mail server. With this change the notifications are now working and I received a notification from the DynDns client and the question I have is this a feature by design or a bug? Below is the email notification I have received.
