[8.162][NOTABUG][UNREPRODUCIBLE] Socks requires boolean setting

Hi,
I just re-built my little box again, good fun. Anyway a completely new configuration and socks throws up a configuration error.

For the exact wording please see the attached screen shot.

I tried with and without the authentication box ticked, no difference.

    I can't reproduce this Ian

    The error message I am getting with socks4/5 is "Allowed users for the SOCKS proxy are missing."

    anything in the logs?

    I can't either. There was nothing in the logs. I tried a number of times before logging the issue.

    Now, it works fine. No idea??

    No, I haven't, but something very strange, I created the report before I captured the data. To me that is odd.

    Think I found the cause, the USB link hadn't finished establishing itself.

    Hey Ian,

    can you please post the output of [FONT="Courier New"]`cc get socks`[/FONT]?

    and please search the confd.log for that error message, and post the respective lines around it.

    From all i can see, this is not reproducible. My only guess is that your web-browser got terribly screwed during that first configuration phase. You did restart your web browser in the mean time, didn't you?
