[8.160][QUESTION][ANSWERED] How to restart daily reports while waiting for v8.161?

Hi,
yes, I realise it is a bug. My daily reports failed after a power surge and have not restarted after numerous restarts of the ASG while repairing a failed UPS.

Is there a command line string I can issue to manually restart the reporting daemon?

8.161 should be out tonight or tomorrow, according to a post that KBR put out last week... I'd just wait a bit.

Hi Bruce,
it was supposed to be yesterday or today.

I had already reported it as a bug, but my report was reclassified as [dupe] because someone else reported it first.

Yeah, i know this complaint from my pre-sales coworker from Australia. It's not only the different timezone, it's also the fact that we are usually not among the "early birds", because we have to get in contact with our US coworkers too. That's another +5hrs in the other direction.

8.161 will be released in a few hours.

I had already reported it as a bug,...

And because it is a bug, we need to replace some of the packages on the ASG to make it work again. It's not just a simple "restart a daemon" thingy, otherwise we would have given you that command right away [;)]

Hi Kai,
I was reading some of the other failed executive bug reports and tried them out to see if they would restart the daily reports.
I found the generate exec report now works and doesn't take long eg about 30-40 sec on my ASG when remotely connected.

I know only to well this time zone stuff, I support the company office and shops in NZ as well as across Australia time range 4-5 hours depending on the time of the year, then their is our head office in Boston (always in yesterday) and major mainframe support team in India 5-5.5 hours. Get better response from UK than US.

Looking forward to further testing.
