[8.160][QUESTION][OPEN] 3com's wireless

Hello Friends !

I am using 3com's wireless "smart" wireless router .
I am using this wireless router in client mode , "Client Mode — Allows a device with an Ethernet port to connect to a wireless network"

i am able to connect to internet and its working Fine!,but i think there are some issues
1) wireless Security >>wireless client is show online show Mac address but ip is "unknown "
2)it change its Tx rate if signal is down (for 60-70 it show 34 Mbir ,for 50-60 it show 24 Mbit )
3)connected time is always show 00:00 this show even with latptop and nintendo (they are showing mac and ip )
4)on ASG 'DHCP >>lease table it show mac address of pc device where this wireless device is connect ,in this case can  i configure static binding for ip ?
5 (question )should i use this as a wireless device to test BETA ? which mode Encryption Mode u recommand in general,which mode should i use bridge to AP or separate zone

    Hi utm_kid,
    some answers with questions.
    If you want the wirelessly connected devices to access your local network you would use bridge otherwise it is separate zone with ASG rules for that zone?

    Security mode, depends on what you network can support. From memory you have a windows 2k8 server which will allow you to run WAP2 Enterprise, but your users have to be then configured into the server. So for a simple setup use WPA2 Personal.

    If your wireless devices don't all have WPA2 capability, there is mixed mode WPA/WPA2.

    Hi Ian,

    At present i have taken another  route .
    i have create static binding for 3 wireless device and add this device in ,http proxy,dns ,ips and others so this will be only allow and wireless network is removed 
    let get the good idea from astaro feature expert 
    i am not so clear on which zone to be used

    edit ::question :::::is there is a reason when i use  network group with this 3 device i am getting better signal and better bandwidth .

    initially i was using full wireless network /24 for 3 device then i create network group for this 3 devices .

    with network (/24 ) i was getting signal 60 and bandwidth of 36 Mbit now i am getting  signal of 86 and 48 Mbit 

    if u want we will do a remote session ,sorry not good at DRAFTING
