[8.160][DUPE][CLOSED] outgoing mail from ASG fails after power surge

Hi,
last night there was a power glitch which caused the ASG to restart a number of times. Since then i have not received any admin notifications form the ASG.

Discovered both UPS had failed, the ASG one and my PC one. No error messages in UPS logs on the UPS manager, not happy.

Spam mail reports work correctly.
I have shut the ASG down and then restarted it to no avail, no daily reports and no restart messages.

Hi Ian,

the notifier is currently ... "unrelieable". This has been reported earlier and will be fixed in the next release (this week i think).

I thought it was a different bug. Any idea on when the 8.161 will be released?

Version 8.161 will be released this week, probably tomorrow evening (well, local time Karlsruhe, which is GMT+1), maybe on thursday.

I'm currently in discussion with Frank, because he wants to release early, and i want to see a larger percentage of the currently known issues fixed and tested. My point is that, given the amount of feedback we've received in the first week, i don't want to have a huge wave of "issue X still isn't fixed in 8.161" posts... [;)]

Kbr, one thing I'd suggest when you do release the next build is to list the known issues that were fixed in the new build with the release, should cut down on the "still not fixed" posts.

We usually do this (that is, Frank does this tedious job), but the list of (still) open issues is really huge.

Let's wait and see... [;)]
