[8.160][FEATURE][WONT FIX] Printable Configuration

Hi All

I am able to view the preshared key on my connections via going to printable configurations>>Generate Report and the scroll down and select "webadmin Format".
That mean that whoever has access to generate the report can view passwords

The whole point of the printable configuration is to have the *complete* configuration available, so this is by design and not a bug.

I added this to our Bugtracker as a feature request though, because i think it makes sense.

I don't necessary agree. accessing configuration files doesn't mean that you have access to passwords (for example cisco IOS , cisco VPN configs and so on ). You do have access to config but you have to either enter extra commands or they somehow protect the passwords ( md5,md7 and so on )

For now, immediate implementation of this feature request was rejected by product management because the general feeling is that spending development effort elsewhere is more useful for the majority of our customers right now. Of course, feel free to have it tracked as a long-term feature request on feature.astaro.com.

Well, it's only a FEATURE/WONTFIX.
Causing a BUG/WONTFIX ticket is harder. [;)]
