It's great that compat view is no longer required, but be aware that most, if not all, folks who currently use Astaro in production (8.102 or older) will already have this turned on. From a support standpoint, Astaro should consider ways of making people aware of this needed change when 8.200 goes GA. Otherwise I can see the boards, resellers, and Astaro support getting flooded with support requests for IE display issues.

There is a better option... I seem to recall there are some directives you can add to Apache (and IIS as well, of course) websites that can switch IE8's compatibility mode on and off... can't recall what the setting is off the top of my head for that, but that would be an easy way to ensure that IE users are in the correct mode to access Webadmin.
