[8.080][QUESTION][OPEN] http proxy rejects valid sites

Hi,
this is the first time I have tried to use web banking with this version.

The ASG rejected the connection in both IE8 and FF with site mismatch when the home page attempted to transfer to the secure banking site as a site mismatch.

Required a proxy user (can't remember the exact term) change entry to access the site.

I have been using this site for many years through many versions of ASG and never had this happen.

When were these rules tightened and when was it announced?

    Hi Ian,

    are you using SSL scanning? If yes, in transparent mode or in SSL mode? There where some bugs in V7 regarding SSL certificate verification that where fixed in V8, so that may be the reason.

    some background.
    For v7 and v8.000b I was using a configuration built up using http proxy/s in standard mode and cleaned over time.

    With v8.100b I built a completely new ASG configuration using the http/s proxy in transparent mode and no time management. I found this http/s simpler configuration very inconsistent with what it would catch in the way of http traffic.
    So I reverted to http/s proxy in standard mode for v8.070 and v8.080. Still having trouble with the standard http/s proxy it is so easy to bypass.

    Under v8.070b in standard mode I didn't have this problem, it has only arisen in v8.080 which I installed this morning my time.
