[8.070][NOTABUG][CLOSED] doesn't work from 8.003

Hello,

i take the u2d-sys-8.065-070.tgz.gpg and prob a update from 8.003, but this doesn't work. i got everytime no error, but no reboot too.

Hi.

You cannot expect an u2d-sys-8.065-070.tgz.gpg to update from 8.003. In fact, there is no U2D from Stable to Beta - If you like to try the Beta, you have to do a fresh Installation via ISO but you can import a configuration backup.

As the filename illustrates, the U2D you mentioned is to update from Beta 8.065 to 8.070.

What you experienced is not a bug - the box did not break, so nothing wrong. And the Log tells you why.

Hi,

the problem itself is not the unable upgrade from final to beta, but the missing error message if a requirement failed on upgrade packet. you see only the update again and no live log message anymore.

Hi Alex,

We are always interested in error handling, especially if this can answer a question without the need to have to reach out to support. In this case, when applying an up2date package of a Beta when you are not at a required previous version, what would you expect to see?
